CBD Is Now Schedule 1

September 11, 2017

CBD is now Schedule 1Just when things appeared to be heading in the right direction across the United States in terms of marijuana legalization, the Feds decided to throw in a wrench into the movement. This last December, the Feds moved CBD into the same federal drug classification of drugs like heroin and cocaine. Yes, you read that right, “CBD schedule 1,” Ridiculous, I know, but the Feds have perpetuated an outdated system largely stemming from a phobia of foreigners from the early 20th Century.

Cannabis Testing Labs in the U.S.

September 4, 2017

Cannabis Testing LabsCannabis is the fasting growing industry in the U.S. market right now, with sales last year totaling around $7 billion. By 2026, that number is expected to reach $50 billion, as reported by the Portland Press Herald. Experts are advising people who are thinking of investing in cannabis to invest through pharmaceutical companies and cannabis testing labs because cannabis is still declared a Schedule 1 drug under federal law. Since cannabis has been illegal, there wasn't a large market for cannabis testing labs. However, with forms of marijuana becoming legal in 29 states and Washington D.C., the demand for cannabis testing labs is sure to grow.

What’s the Buzz About Malia Obama, Weed, and Spain?

August 31, 2017

Malia Obama WeedBuzz is just another way to say “conspiracy theory.” From Obama’s 2008 victory to his exit, the White House has been at the forefront of a right-centric smear campaign that sought to delegitimize his presidency. Birtherism, Benghazi, insidious globalizing, and other far-fetched arguments were directed at President Obama. The attacks were never solely limited to Barack Obama; Michelle was brutalized by the Alt-Right as a pretentious nanny state proponent (i.e. you must only eat peas). It can be reasonably argued that the Obamas were one of the most verbally degraded presidential families in American history – one needs to not look any further than conservative talk radio.

Weed and the Fidget Spinner: Helpful Device or Wasteful Distraction?

August 22, 2017

As a former public-school teacher and administrator, I am typically not in favor of anything that might cause a distraction to the fidget spinnerpedagogical process. Over the past several years we have seen the rise of many gadgets that have done just that. For me, the most intrusive apparatus arriving in the classroom that continues to vex educators has been the smartphone. Teachers are forced to constantly perform the "turn that off," "log off that," "put that away," dance every day resulting in the loss of valuable learning time. Now, we have the fidget spinner. https://www.livescience.com/58916-fidget-spinner-faq.html
