Cities are Banning California Recreational Cannabis

September 19, 2017

Hollyweed SignIf you go to a movie premiere in Hollywood or a community college play in Santa Cruz, the scent of marijuana will surely be in the air, despite the fact that recreational cannabis won't be legal in California until January 1, 2018. Most communities in California are embracing recreational pot. More than 80% of Californians voted to legalize recreational cannabis in the last election. But not all cities are jumping on the marijuana bandwagon. Several cities will have restrictions on California recreational cannabis, and some are banning it all together.

What the Bible Says About Marijuana

September 17, 2017

Marijuana in the BibleThe Bible is a source of inspiration, comfort, and life advice for millions of people around the world. It covers all of the major topics: how to treat others, how to live a full life, and of course, what not to do. But is there anything about marijuana in the Bible that tells followers whether it is acceptable to grow, dispense, or consume? Well, no. Denmark Cannabis Laws

September 13, 2017

Denmark CanalWhen compared with other Western European nations, Denmark is unique in that it’s harsher toward the consumption and possession of marijuana. Even with trials under way on medical marijuana’s potential health benefits (medical marijuana can be prescribed but only a few strains), the country has a strict approach towards possession and distribution. Sifting through statutes is a bit hard as most of them are in Danish, but international drug reports have extracted the most important laws that relate to marijuana. Denmark cannabis laws are less about the amount and more about the type of substance; more specifically, marijuana isn’t necessarily considered a “dangerous substance,” so courts can be a bit more lenient. However, an amount that implies small-scale or large-scale distribution can result in decades of prison time.

Topicals: A Perfect Alternative to Smoking Marijuana

September 13, 2017

Marijuana Topical CreamsOne of the most underappreciated aspects of the cannabis plant is the versatility of its healing powers. We all know that taking some bong rips or a nice full-gram joint will get you and your friends nice and stony, that some THC is all it takes to send your mind to a different place. What is often overlooked, especially by people who demonize marijuana, is the many ways that topicals can soothe pain and calm inflammation all over the body.

Cannabis syrups come in multiple flavors and they are made to blend quite nicely with a variety of beverages including sodas, juices, teas and coffees, or on your favorite foods. They even make a cannabis BBQ sauce. Cannabis syrups are significantly more concentrated than other forms of cannabis, so it is important to keep that in mind the first time you try any.

CBD Is Now Schedule 1

September 11, 2017

CBD is now Schedule 1Just when things appeared to be heading in the right direction across the United States in terms of marijuana legalization, the Feds decided to throw in a wrench into the movement. This last December, the Feds moved CBD into the same federal drug classification of drugs like heroin and cocaine. Yes, you read that right, “CBD schedule 1,” Ridiculous, I know, but the Feds have perpetuated an outdated system largely stemming from a phobia of foreigners from the early 20th Century.
