Leafbuyer Presents: Breeze Botanicals Oregon Dispensary

Medicinal Marijuana Apothecary

Oregon legalized recreational cannabis in 2014, and since that time, hundreds of adult-use shops have opened to serve the public. Today, we’re excited to share with you some information on the very first recreational marijuana dispensary in Oregon. Here’s the scoop on Breeze Botanicals.

Breeze Botanicals in Gold Hill started as a medical dispensary, first opening its doors in 2010. When recreational legalization occurred, though, owner and CEO Brie Malarkey felt that it was time to trailblaze a brand-new market.

“We had to forfeit our medical marijuana license as part of the OLCC rules,” she said, but that didn’t halt her success. When Breeze Botanicals went recreational on June 14th, 2014, they set an example for the developing recreational marijuana industry. A second location opened in February 2015 in Ashland.

Malarkey and her husband, Jon Cunningham, run the two recreational stores, as well as Sunna Ra Acres where they grow and sell cannabis alongside other herbs. They also own and run Sun God Medicinals in Central Point which manufactures concentrates and edibles.

Culturally, Breeze Botanicals embraces the power of cannabis. They also want to make sure you know exactly what you’re getting. Breeze Botanicals tests their cannabis for over 15 different cannabinoids as well as terpenes, pesticides, mold, and mildew before it even hits the shelf.

Breeze Botanicals supports the local community by carrying locally grown herbs from Oregon farmers alongside the recreational cannabis. Working with local farmers, artists, and other small businesses, Malarkey and her team aim to educate consumers and provide a safe place for recreational users to learn about holistic alternatives.

While cannabis is a recognized and essential part of these dispensaries, it isn’t always the headlining feature. There are several other plants, flowers, and dried herbs available for purchase. Like an apothecary from days past, Breeze provides plants (including cannabis, of course) that will cater to the body or provide desired effects. “Our goal is to help those seeking relief find the right plant or strain for the desired results.”

They also have a local food and art boutique that promotes the importance of the small southern Oregon farmers, food producers, and artists. You can purchase homemade soaps, jellies, local honey, and plenty more. Living naturally and supporting each other is clearly part of their core mission.

Breeze Botanicals also carries a very wide selection of cannabis flowers, edibles, concentrates, and topicals, so that you can medicate properly, no matter how you need it.

If organic, sun grown herbs and supporting small businesses are what you crave, be sure to check out Breeze Botanicals when you are looking for an Oregon Dispensary!
