Black Widow was created to enhance the already famous White Widow while making a clear distinction between both. This strain lands itself more on the sativa side. Both derive from Brazilian and South India landraces.

Black Widow is an award-winning strain known for its high THC content which reaches up to 28%, and its CBD content of over 1%. With 70% sativa, this high level strain is extremely activating and long-lasting. It's filled with resin and popular all over the world. Through selective breeding, Black Widow's phenotypes sets it apart from the White widow strain.

Black Widow is a pungent strain smelling of sweets with a chemical undertone. Its flavor consists of sweet pine with an earthy foundation. Black Widow is known for its relaxing characteristics and wonderful medical benefits due to its CBD count. This strain is not recommended for beginners.

Black Widow has thick dense nuggets and enough resin to recommend always using a grinder. It's shaped like a Christmas tree with white crystals and scattered orange and purple hairs.

The Lineage of Black Widow

Black Widow comes from two different landraces. Its Brazilian side is 100% indica with a THC content of 13% and a CBD content of 1%. Its high doesn't last long but comes on intensely. It has sedative characteristics that help with many medical ailments. The flower itself has a dank scent of hash, spice and Kush. The flavor is similar with an earthy, lemon undertone. It is a leafy Christmas tree shaped bud covered in dusts of white crystals.

Black Widow's other parent, a South Indian landrace is 100% sativa counteracting the other parent. It has the same characteristics as most sativa strains. It consists of 15% THC and 1% CBD. The flower is medium green, but it's hidden by the overload of crystals and orange hairs.

This strain can be grown indoors and outdoors. The plants grow tall in hot and sunny outdoor climate. It's easy to grow and is resistant to common molds and mildew. Indoor growing take eight to nine weeks yielding 11 ounces per square meter. Plants grown outdoors need to be harvested by mid-October and yields 16 ounces per plant.

Growing Black Widow

While it's recommended to grow indoors to increase the resin production, it can also be grown outdoors. They grow three feet indoors and doubles its height when grown outdoors. It's easy to do in an ideal environment.

Growing indoors takes seven to eight weeks yielding 12 to 16 ounces per square meter. Plants grown outdoors must be harvested in late September to early October and yields 11 to 14 ounces per plant. It is resistant to pests, mildew, and molds.
