Alaskan Ice has a balanced phenotype of its parents. The THC in this strain ranges from 18 to 22 percent. Its CBD content reaches 0.4 percent. It comes short and compact or long and stretched. It's hugely resinous making it sticky and hard to break up without a grinder. Alaskan Ice has 1.8 percent CBG.

Potential Positive Effects of Alaskan Ice

Alaskan Ice brings a balance of both energy and relaxation throughout the long-lasting experience. It starts cerebral, providing strength and euphoria, leading to a desire to be creative. Things may get funny; however, do not be fooled to think those are its only capabilities. After a while, you will feel a sense of relaxation. The combination will allow you to be still alert while the body high is intense.

Potential Medical Effects of Alaskan Ice

While Alaskan Ice has a low CBD count, it has an elevated Cannabigerol (CGB) level. CBG is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid with antibacterial effects that can assist with medical ailments. CBG has been shown in small laboratory studies to help reduce inflammation, inhibit cell growth (potentially helpful in the treatment of), and promote bone growth.

Potential Negative Effects of Alaskan Ice

Some adverse effects include the typical dry mouth and eyes, dizziness, and paranoia.

The Lineage of Alaskan Ice

White Widow comes from two different landraces. Its Brazilian side is 100 percent indica with a THC content of 13 percent and a CBD content of 1 percent. Its high does not last long and it comes on intensely. It has sedative characteristics that help with many medical ailments. The flower itself has a dank scent of hash, spice, and Kush. The flavor is similar with an earthy, lemon undertone.

White Widow's other parent, a South Indian landrace is 100 percent sativa counteracting the other parent. It has the same characteristics as most sativa strains. It consists of 15 percent THC and 1 percent CBD. The flower is medium green, hidden by an overload of crystals and orange hairs.

This strain is cultivated year-round indoors and outdoors. The plants grow tall in hot and sunny outdoor climate. It's easy to grow and is resistant to common molds and mildew. Indoor growing takes eight to nine weeks yielding 11 ounces per square meter. Plants grown outdoors need to be harvested by mid-October and yields 16 ounces per plant.

Pure Haze is a multicultural strain derived from South American sativa, Thai sativa, Mexican sativa mixed with South Indian sativa. It has a sweet, fruity taste and an earthy, woodsy aroma. Since it is a sativa strain reaching 80 percent and has a THC count of 23 percent, Pure Haze has a boost of energy that one needs when staying up all night is necessary. This phenotype has bright green leaves with light orange colored hairs and white crystals. It is not for beginners.

Pure Haze can be grown indoors and outdoors in warm and temperate Mediterranean outdoor climate. Indoor growing takes nine to ten weeks and produces four ounces per square foot.

Growing Alaskan Ice

Alaskan Ice can grow both indoors or setup up outdoors. Climate must be warm. Some experience is needed to grow, and it is resistant to disease and pests. Outdoors growers are suggested to use a screen of green (SCROG) rather than a sea of green (SOG) setup. Plants can grow up to 9 feet tall.

Indoor growing takes 60 to 65 days and will yield 24 to 28 ounces per square meter. Plants grown outdoors must be harvested by October and will also generate 24 to 28 ounces per plant. These plants need space to grow, providing a full, tall canopy.
