This is a question that many people ask themselves and end up looking up. Luckily, the Leafbuyer team has done the research for you. Though there is no definitive length of time, there is one sure way to find out – take a drug test! Most common and easily accessible of tests include urine, hair, and saliva. However, all test results vary due to weight, body fat, the amount of product used, and how frequently it is used.

Marijuana Can Take Weeks To Fully Disappear

The urine test is the most common due to its lower price tag. Urine test kits can be found at your local drug store. Marijuana can be tested as positive within 2-5 hours of use. Like we mentioned, results will vary, specifically based on how frequently you use the product.

First-time users can show positive between 1-6 days while a heavy user may show positive for over a month! Even the heaviest of smokers have tested positives after 3-4 months of use. These results do not even take into account the weight and body fat components.

Saliva drug tests test positive within one hour of use, but may only show positive results up to 12 hours after using. This is a bit less accurate but does have a quicker results time than the saliva test.

A hair drug test will show up to 7 days after use and most hair drug tests will test for a 90-day period. This drug test is more commonly used for harder drugs since THC does not always bind to the hair follicle, making this test not as accurate as the two above.

How long do you feel the effects of marijuana?

This is a great question to consider, especially with the growing market of cannabis and new consumers emerging after the legalization. There are many different forms in which you can use this valuable and popular herb – smoke/vaporized, edibles, concentrates, tinctures, and more. The most popular way to ingest marijuana is through smoking/vaporizing, edibles, or concentrates.

Smoking or vaporizing marijuana produces effects between 2-10 minutes, the high can either be a body or head depending on the strain. After one to two inhales – depending on your weight, frequency of use, and body fat, you can feel the effects for 30 minutes all the way to 2 hours.

Digesting marijuana either through edibles or drinks, you should consume no more than 5mg as a new user.

PRO TIP: wait between 30 minutes to one hour before consuming more.

Edibles have a slower reaction time due to the digestion of cannabis and absorption to your bloodstream, however, the effects can last anywhere between 2-12 hours depending on the variables we’ve mentioned above.

Concentrates are the most potent of the three as they are a higher concentrated percentage of THC and/or CBD – hence concentrates! First-time consumers should only take on a small portion of wax, shatter, or hash and should wait between 30 minutes – 2 hours before inhaling more. Due to the higher amounts of THC and/or CBD, consumers will immediately feel the effects and have a good length of time before the effects die down.
