How the cannabinoid Cannabidiol, or CBD, affects the skeletal endocannabinoid system has more to do with what CBD doesn’t do: bind with the cb1 and cb2 receptors.
CBD inhibits the enzyme FAAH and leads to a build-up of certain chemicals, endocannabinoids, whose job it is to interact with the cb1 and cb2 receptors.
