With the dawn of legalized recreational marijuana in California finally upon us, it's time to review the many laws and regulations that casual cannabis consumers should keep in mind as they stroll through the Golden State. While medical marijuana has been legal in California for more than two decades, the passing of Proposition 64 has resulted in a new set of laws that are specific to the recreational market and non-medical cannabis users. California natives and visitors should review these regulations in order to avoid unnecessary fines or possible arrest for the possession, use, or sale of cannabis. Let's have a look at the laws governing the new recreational cannabis marketplace in California:

The anticipation for Denver’s 2018 420 Rally continues to build as the battle for the permit is still underway. The 420 Rally is a monumental day for the cannabis industry and has been for years. The legalization of marijuana is a beautiful thing to celebrate, but the 2017 rally was far from a beautiful gathering. As many of us have already heard, the 420 Rally in 2017 cast a grim shadow on Denver’s professional cannabis industry. The unprofessionalism of the 2017 permit holder, Miguel Lopez, has caused the city of Denver to be very cautious with who receives the next permit. The chain of events that have led us to this point has put a ton of pressure and anticipation on the 420 Rally in 2018.

Marijuana Dispensaries by City in Oregon

January 6, 2018

In 1999, Oregon became one of the first states in the US to legalize medical marijuana. 17 years later, in 2016, lawmakers legalized recreational pot as well. Now all of Oregon is experiencing the sweet, sweet high that only cannabis (and the taxes from recreational marijuana sales) can bring. Since its legalization, recreational marijuana has been contributing its tax earnings to Oregon's schools, police forces, and mental health and drug abuse programs. This is great news, and we're guessing you want to help contribute to these noble causes. So for your convenience, here's a breakdown of marijuana dispensaries and their availability in the five largest cities within the great (legalized) state of Oregon!

Now that recreational marijuana sales have begun in Nevada, the opportunity to rebrand the Vegas experience with a bit of cannabis culture is at the door. A city known for being particularly accepting of certain human pleasures (drinking, gambling, prostitution, etc.) is now able to cash in on another recreational intoxicant/medicine: cannabis. Many people, however, wonder what there is to do high in Las Vegas other than visit casinos. That’s where we come in to help!

Nevada went live with legal marijuana in July of 2017, and the state ran out of legally produced and tested marijuana in a matter of days. Washington state went online with rec sales three years earlier and experienced initial supply issues, while Colorado saw lines out of the door clamoring for products which had been sold out in January 2014. With California set to begin recreational marijuana sales on January 1, 2018, many are wondering if there will be a weed shortage once rec sales begin. Let’s take a look at how the recreational weed opening will likely play out.

Marijuana Law: Can You Bring It Across the Canadian Border?

December 16, 2017

We have witnessed a domino effect regarding marijuana legalization, both for medical and recreational purposes. More than half of U.S. states have some sort of marijuana law in place, and the number increases each year. However, the U.S. isn't the only North American country that has undergone progress in marijuana legalization. Canada has made significant strides toward legalizing weed, but in the summer of 2018, recreational marijuana will be legal in all Canadian provinces. Since Canada's up-and-coming recreational marijuana law will go into effect next year, does this mean that visitors and residents can cross the Canadian/U.S. border with marijuana?

In the past three years, Oregon, and Portland in particular, has experienced a significant population increase. According to a report by Portland State University's Population Research Center, Oregon's population jumped from 4,076,350 in 2016 to 4,141,100, which is an increase of 64,750 people. Although this may not seem like a lot, Oregon continues to welcome in lots of out-of-state residents who are interested in a change of scenery in addition to the state's developing marijuana industry. Let’s take a look at how Portland has progressed in recent years, paying special attention to their increasing number of marijuana dispensaries.

Euflora: Working to Transform 2018's 420 Rally

November 10, 2017

420 Rally in 2016If you live in Colorado, you may have heard that 2017 was not a good year for the 420 Rally in Downtown Denver. Instead of ending with a peaceful pass of the joint, the world-renowned cannabis celebration ended with trash everywhere, and the professionalism of the budding young cannabis industry was thrown out the window. The terrible impression that this festival left on the city has caused many people to question if Miguel Lopez, the former permit holder, is the right person for the job. In fact, Pepe Breton, co-founder of Euflora Cannabis Dispensaries, is speaking out against Lopez, and challenging his appeal to renew his permit.
