As you can imagine, the distillation of two legitimate powers — social power from culture, actual power per governmental adherence — in regards to cannabis leads us into a legal territory that is akin to walking on eggshells; an uneven legal landscape foreshadowing anxiety, scrutiny, and oversight (and revenue).

Nationwide Marijuana Laws: New Med and Rec Programs in the US

In Colorado, at least, this is true, following changes in what type of establishments can operate with a liquor license. The plant in question: Cannabis, and since we all know that plants can grow, but not, well, walk, let's assume that our cannabinoid-laden, terpene-oozing plant flower was in the pocket of a bar patron (whom is also at least 21 years old, of course).

Illinois Senate Approves Marijuana Decriminalization Bill

May 22, 2015

Great news from Illinois! The state Senate recently passed a bill that would lower the penalty of marijuana possession to no jail time and a fine of up to $125. The previous penalty for simple possession was a fine of $2,500 and up to one year in jail.
