This past May, Governor Jay Inslee signed off on Senate BIll 5131The Cannabist signaled that the "ominous" piece of legislation would alter the voter-approved regulations that legalized recreational marijuana transactions in 2012. The bill introduced few consumer-friendly measures, including the legalization of sharing a bowl – something forbidden by the original piece of legislation – and delivering limited amounts of weed to adults. Those with medical marijuana licenses can also purchase seeds and clones directly from producer. The state's cannabis and liquor board are now required to research and report on the legalized marijuana plant possession by recreational users. However, dispensary advertising was severely limited to help minimize the potential appeal to youth. Ads in transit locations, like bus stops and train stations, were forbidden; additionally, billboards must only display the name of the business, address, and the nature of the business. The law will become effective July 23, 2017.

Concentrates and edibles – of themselves, a different type of weed experience – have infiltrated the minds and hearts of the cannabis consuming public. They are widely and rapidly being adopted as a product of preference. Seeds vs Clones: Which Option Is Best For The Novice Grower?

June 28, 2017

Seed1Embarking upon any endeavor for the first time can be daunting. The decision to launch your first grow of cannabis is no different. Primarily, you'll have to decide whether to conduct your first growth using either seeds or clones. For the novice grower, the question becomes; what's the difference? Many experts might assert that they go hand in hand. For instance, clones are generated by cutting root hormone from an existing plant, which produces a precise replica of the mother plant. On the other hand, seeds are not necessarily an exact copy. Seeds are the offspring of male and reproduction happens when pollen contact is made with a female flower. Therefore, seeds will possess similar characteristics of both the mother plant and the father; and the descendant seeds can be either female or male.
